Wishing you and your family a Shubha Deepavali. May your hearts and homes be filled with light today and every day.
Last Deepavali, I chose to create space—both in time and within myself—to pursue what felt truly meaningful by inviting light into my heart. I am deeply grateful to have begun the study of the Bhagavad Gītā and the Kathopanishad. With my guru’s grace and blessings, I was also able to publish 108 Vedantic Terms, which I hope serves as a source of inspiration for fellow seekers in their sadhana.
This Deepavali, I am once again inviting light into my heart by beginning a new sadhana: reflecting on the Shri Chinmaya Ashtottara Shata Namavali, a sacred hymn of 108 glorious names of Swami Chinmayananda. “Chinmaya” means consciousness, and each name in this hymn gently points me back—again and again—to that very Chinmaya within us all.
May this festival of lights illumine our inner path and guide us toward clarity, devotion, and self-knowledge. 🪔

Over the last two years, I have come to deeply appreciate the profound role a Guru plays in one’s spiritual journey. The Guru is the guide, the inspiration, the path, and ultimately, the goal.
I am truly grateful for the guidance I receive through Swami Dheerananda’s talks on Gurudev’s glories, which will support me in this sadhana. As I embark on this sacred reflection on Swami Chinmayananda, I look forward to spending the coming months in guru smarana (remembrance) and aradhana (glorification).
By listening to one talk each day, I hope to contemplate more deeply and recognize the Chinmaya—the pure consciousness—within myself. 🙏
